Artist Biography

Pilar Helmers

Pilar is an Australian artist. After private lessons in painting Pilar had her first exhibition in 1994 and worked as a visual artist full time until 1998, at which time she undertook an undergraduate degree in Visual Arts at the University of Wollongong, NSW Australia. After graduating in 2000 she established Under The Floorboards a studio and gallery cooperative of 6 painters. She has lived, worked and exhibited in overseas.
